A. 100% MODELING PLASTER

Depending on the temperature

B. Technology for casting vibrating prefabricates

A. Preparation for casting

  • Check the ABS mold where we will pour the aggregate, it must be clean and free of impurities inside the mold.

  • Check that the ABS mold has a 1mm play on each side in the metal or wooden frame; the frame should not press the ABS mold.

  • Check the concrete mixer, it must be clean and free of dry concrete residues or impurities.

  • This product can also be mixed in a bucket with a drill equipped with a mixing device.

  • To achieve an excellent white color, we recommend using 150 grams of titanium dioxide or white iron oxide for a working concrete mixer.

  • For any other concrete color, use iron oxides in the respective color, using a dosage of less to more oxide in the concrete mixer to achieve the desired lighter or darker color by weighing the oxide dose.

  • Prepare and mix the aggregates above in the concrete mixer; the concrete (aggregate) must be uniform and well mixed and ready for casting.

  • Spray the ABS mold with eco-friendly mineral decofrol, in which the well-mixed aggregate will be poured.

  • Deco-frol is very important in the casting of vibrating prefabricates. By spraying the molds with decofrol, microcracks in polymer molds are prevented. Using this decofrol, the life of the ABS molds is extended up to three times. Instead of 200-300 casting cycles, you can reach 600-800 cycles of casting and demolding.

  • Using decofrol eliminates bubbles and impurities on the surface of the cast prefabricates. Also, molds no longer need to be washed after demolding, only wiped and blown.

  • Eco-friendly mineral decofrol is THE CHEAPEST product for spraying polymer molds. 1 liter of concentrated mineral decofrol is diluted with 25 liters of water, resulting in a cost of ONLY 1.1 RON per liter of decofrol ready for spraying.

  • Avoid lubricating or spraying ABS molds with diesel, vinegar, various oils, etc., as this will create microcracks in the molds, which will become dull in the first phase and crack much faster in the second phase. They will become more brittle, and you will spend more money in the production process and get a lower-quality prefabricate. 1 liter of diesel > 7 RON, 1 liter of vinegar or different oils > 3-4 RON, while 1 liter of dissolved decofrol costs ONLY 1.1 RON.

B. Pouring the plaster

Well-mixed plaster with water is poured into the ABS mold, and a thin fiberglass mesh is applied to the top surface of the plaster to help with adhesion and the strength of the form.

C. Vibrating the prefabricate

Generally, filling the molds with aggregate is done directly on vibrating tables.

Vibration should be smooth and last no longer than 10-15 seconds. This process should be as fine as a bee’s buzz until we see air bubbles coming out of the prefabricate.

IMPORTANT

Prefabricates can be cast in small batches without a vibrating table.

After filling the mold with the casting aggregate, the full mold is shaken left-right, forward-backward until we see the bubbles come out of the aggregate.

D. Covering with foil

If we want a prefabricate made of concrete, mosaic, plaster, imitation marble, or imitation granite, of good quality, immediately after the concrete is vibrated, the mold is placed on a flat surface and immediately covered with a plastic foil (any kind).

For 24 hours, the ABS mold with the covered aggregate must stay for curing.

It is forbidden to cast aggregates of any kind at temperatures below +10°C.

After 24 hours, demold the form by flipping it onto a table and gently shaking until the prefabricate comes out of the ABS mold.

The flatness of the drying place of the prefabricate is vital. This will help you or your clients to have an easy and high-quality assembly.

Typically, drying places for any type of prefabricate are specially arranged and checked to ensure a high-quality finished product.
